| The purpose of the puppy program is to condition the puppy to learn that learning and doing things are fun. The program aims at preventing problems now rather than correcting problems later. The purpose of the "puppy program" must be fully understood. |
| Basic Obedience and Trick Training |
| The five basic obedience commands every dog should know are sit, stay, down, come and heel. We are qualified dog behavior professionals and will assist in training you and your dog to perfect these five commands. Once your dog has the basics down, I.D.W.T. Inc. can also include Trick Training into the program. |
Personal and Home Protection
| Client dog handling and instructional programs for dogs trained by I.D.W.T. Inc. (State Registered) are specifically aimed at home and personal protection. We perform dog temperament evaluations, and client handling. Your Pet is introduced to attack methods using various training tools. The owner is taught commands for “firing up” and restraining their pet in times of individual peril. We also provide in-depth explanations of what you can expect from a trained family obedient and protective guard dog. |

| Assistance Dog |
| Assistance Dogs help people with disabilities be more self-sufficient. They "see" for blind people; "hear" for deaf people; offer mobility for people in wheelchairs; and offer therapy and love to people who are lonely or sick. "In Dogs We Trust, Inc." also specializes in training service dogs for persons who have a need for this type of pet. Because we realize that a pet can have a different purpose for different owners, we observe the owner and their pets in their own environment. Once we have concluded our evaluation, we then offer sound advice and recommendations to ensure that the pet is being used fully for its safety; as well as, the owner's. When the owner heavily depends on their pet for their everyday survival, we recognize how important our role is to ensure that both the owner and their pet is knowledgeable and fully prepared. IDWT offers refresher classes in which owners can participate in order to re-enforce their pet's training and development. |
